They had a flexstem on them though.

I have some book that I found that has a pic of it wit hthe flexstem and the caption is like "state of the art cannondale mountain bike"

Holy Shit! I had that bike! I was in like 6 or 7 when my grandfather bought it for me. I loved that bike. The only thing I can remember about it was that it weighed a ton. Probably not much lighter than my current DH rig. Then some fuckers cut the lock I had and robbed it from my backyard Evil or Very Mad Oh I wish I still had that ride.
