It says on the website that:
Sept 11 - NORBA A.M.B.C. & DH # 5
double points event!!!

So what does this mean? I have never been here or raced here so would it be okay to come here and race this event or do you have to have a Norba liscence or whatever? What's the course like?
Thanks guys.

that means there is a collegiate race as well as the normal plattekill series race that weekend. you will need a norba license no matter what you race. you can pick up a 1 day for $5 i think. the courses can vary from stupid fast to gnarly. there are go-arounds for the stupid gnarly sections if you don't feel like doing them. the double points means just what it implies, that race counts as double points for the plattekill series. i wish i were going, but i have to heal up after mt. snow. maybe my returning race will be Reading.

thats good. I've gotten alot faster since the beginning of the season so double points is sick. Yeah- u can get a 1 day if ur doing beginner or sport and u have to have a license to race expert or pro. You can use also use a sport license to race expert.
Good Chance I'll Be There

I'm looking forward to 9/10 &11...I'll make a 2nd attempt at 30-39 sport and it'll be my wife's 1st Platty race. Should be interesting...But I should get some kind of bonus out of it, though, being her "coach", mechanic plus worrying about doing my own race run! HA!

Is it infact the collegiate race also? If so, if I get a collegiate license or whatever from my school, can I race the regular platt series and collegiate? 2 race runs would be nice Very Happy How much is the entry fee for collegiate?

no, you have to choose. either be in the plattekill point series or the college point series. if you pay twice though and arent racing for the point series's, i dont see why you cant race twice. just register for the plattekill race under a different name and address. of course though, you would have to race beginner or sport, where no license is required.

Thats usually how it works.. but it doesnt appear that there is a collegiate race at plattekill this year. http://www.eccc-info.com/race_calendar.html According to the ECCC there are no races this weekend.
