whats up all, I hear a lot of talk in the parking lot that
people would like to see some more shore stuff built at
Plattekill, but does anyone have any good ideas for spots,
or obstacles, I know we would all like to see wheels, or crazy
teeters, but I mean realistically where do you guys think more
stuff should be build, and what type of obstacles

A few friends and I were talking about the exact same this past weekend while up there.

When you ride up the triple, go straight back behind the little lodge up there. If you continue straight back you'll find a trail that wraps around to the right. Stay far left on this trail everytime you have the option.

All in all it's a very fun (easy) trail that could use some well placed skinnies and other technical type structures. You definitely have to pedal a bit on this trail, but all in all it's a nice flowy single track that is a great "all play" type trail.

Plattekill as a whole has enough expert and above type of riding. It would be a huge plus to have some less costly (crash wise) stuff for everyone to enjoy.

I'd be happy to assist in this build. After Labor Day, I could even bring up some solid lumber and start designing.

I am definatly up for building as well, I was wondering if maybe we could see if Laz would let a small group of us build a trail, and maybe even set up a cut down the mountain that we could build and create as a "shore" trail. I would probably not want to make it as steep as the other trails, this way it could allow for some more relaxed stunts(but big and technical).

Any of you guys going up this weekend?

I'd be totally into that, however I won't be back up till Sept. Maybe we can set up a definite weekend and see what happens. I'm all for keeping the trail less steep and a little more approachable for everyone.

I know Laz will let you do anything you want within some reason at his mountain. The only thing he is going to want is a detailed plan of action and know who is going to work on it. Laz has had way too many projects that people were all siked about doing and then the peeps just burn out and dont finish what they started. I think you have a great idea and will do all I can to help. Just keep in mind things go super slow up there for some reason so dont be expecting this course to be built overnight.

well, it is time we build something there or at least get these wheels moving. By creating a nice shore trail there it would fill in a void a lot of places are missing, as well as make it more fun for all of us. I have been having a lot of ideas and plan to talk to laz about it, finding the time to do it is hard, but it can still be found, but help from everyone else would definatly make things easier, but it can be done. If people are real interested come talk to me at the sept. race, or if your real real interested pm me, I was going to go up this weekend, but cannot get out of prior engagements, therefore I think I am going to go up next weekend and scout things out as well as try to talk to laz.
