dirtyrig Burner   Joined: Jul 30, 2003 Posts: 108 Location: Croton-on-Hudson Westchester, NY I think only lightning will close the lifts, otherwise I've been at platty in a sleet storm with strong winds, strong enough to bring the rain and sleet down parallel to the ground. Prometheus Burner   Joined: Nov 7, 2002 Posts: 367 Location: Home: Long Island, Work: NYC Yeah the only thing to stop the lift is lightning and trust me thats a good thing because if you have been on the lift when the first few lightning strikes hit you want off ASAP!! I know someone who has jumped from the chair to get off the mountain in a bad thunder storm. So apart from that it will be open regardless.
