I am currently riding a 16 inch Trek 4300. I would like to buy a new shock for the bike so that I can jump off of 5 to 6 ft drops. My current shock bottoms out constantly. Any Suggestions. I mostly do trail riding with climbs, and I love the jumps in between...

if you're just talking about trail riding, and not real trials, then yes, you are in the wrong forum, but we'll let it slide... anyway, anything 4-5" will be more than adequate for 5' drops, as long as it's set up right for you, meaning springs/air pressure (depending on the style). as far as brand, whatever floats your boat. i just started running a marz DJ-III on my urban bike, and that's plenty (5") for any drops like you're talking about... and yes, if you're doing pure trials, rigid rokks!

i dont know if just a monster T will hold up, he might need to go super monster, and i mean at the price you get them for why not, better safe then sorry. but in all seriousness i would go with the DJ III or rock shox have some good ones too i think a psylo would hold up nicly too and there very light-weight for your climbs and im 50/50 that they are 130mm of travel or if you want a 6inch i will have a DJ II for sale soon, its got a freeride setup to it and its a special edition with 6 inch travel and i would give you a good deal on it, 20mm axle though PM me if your interested
