the drop was fun, but last months drop was the best. Nothing like a good sized drop AND the tooth in the same course.

The awards committee has decided that there will be no category awarded for the longest wait for finish times, however there WILL be a category added for...

'Best performance by a Short Track XC course in a Downhill Race' also known as the "Pete Appell 'Smoke em if you got em' lifetime achievement award".

Best Uphill section of the year had to be the July Race. It was near the end
and you blasted down the fireroad and up that off camber hill.....then back on to the road that is now the slalom course.....that was tech.

Best Cyclocross DH course.......Snowshoe.

Best drop was in the June course. Mountainous terrain in the tranny and
you could sit on the rock and enjoy a sandwich under the tree.....it was also nice that it was in the beginning of the course.

Best chute - July course.....that thing claimed alot of riders. It was cantankerous and got more irate as the weekend went on.

Best Finish - April race.....blasting over that log.....felt like your bike was going to explode....

I nominate EFleming to be the official nominator, trail namer, and curator. You missed my kudos at awards on Sunday. All ready poppin' the Heini's in the lot I'm sure. We appreciate your support, your ideas and your creative thinking in making Platty a better place. You can be the "Ambassador". Thanks Eric.

It's with great pride that I accept the nomination. Yes, Hud and I were in the midst of a heated debate on health care reform in the US under the second term of the Bush regime and missed the front half of the awards.... My bad Laz!! Seriously - we have to talk about the trail signs for next year. I can't and won't have the next generation of Plattekill Warriors not knowing the classics like 'Malice', 'Slate Plate', 'Drunken Loaut', 'The 80 footer', 'Miss June', 'Sleeping Bear', 'Big Grassy', 'New Jack SwitchBack', 'The Frat House', 'Trail of 1000 chutes' and the E Fleming original hit 'I know what you did last summer'.... Thats DH History folks.

And no more booze for me. I'm cleaning up my act for 2005. I'm going Monk. No liquor, no smoke, no late nights with fast women. None of that. I have to figure out a way to shave 20 clicks of my race runs. I'm not kidding.

keep in mind, its 3:45 am and I just walked into my apartment.... old habits die hard. pray for me.

You are da man! Those names are classic and will be put into the public eye next summer. You were'nt paying attention to the blinking red light during your debate, therefore flip flopped on your presence during the awards. The only debate should be which brand of beer to drink, what type of liquor to mix, your smoke of choice, and selecting the right woman. We appreciate the support and glad you accept the nomination with pride, and will polish the podium awaiting your arrival. Please be careful, Hudson IS one of the seven deadly sins...
And thanks to all the fans and supporters out there who made Plattekill what it is today, and for supporting us regardless of the choices out there this summer. We've been here consistently for the last 10 years, and will be here for the next 10.
