More info later, but the high end one is estimated $1600 MSRP. The lower end one is $1400 MSRP estimated.
Headed back to Fox booth now.

thanks........ i did an estimate with the price difference between the demo 8 and the demo 8 pro and came up with about 1200-1300. i hope it's cheaper than 1400.
what i'm really wondering is how durable it will be at under 7 lbs with 40mm stanctions (i got this off the fox site). that sounds like a coke can to me.

It's a huge fork, diameter wise. it is thin though. It is meant as a 100% race fork.
I have the exact MSRP in my check in bags (at airport right now). The RC2 is not cheaper than 1400. I want to say the RC2 is $1495 and the R is $1395. When I get home I will dig out the information and give it to you. Plus more information from my discussion with Fox about the DH 40 and the 36

that would explain it, if it is a race only fork then there is alot less need for an ultra durable design. do you know what the differences between the rc2 and the r are? also, are you going to be attending the rampage.

RC2 has external low and high speed compression adjustments. The R does not have external adjustments.
Nope, not going to rampage, scheduling this year for interbike sucked if you asked me. Rampage is over a week away from Interbike now.

yeah that does suck. it was great when everyone was already down there. i'm guessing that attendance of mtb media will be greatly decreased because of that.
