i dun ride trials much but i know the best way to do pogos. practice. lame advise? it works. just practice with blance and shit. or just ride along and instead of doing 180s from flat do 90s it gets ya use to turning sideways and keeping the bike centered. thats my 2 cents

it is all about timing and being in the right gear. Practice getting the front end up with a real quick 1/4 pedal stroke, lock the rear brake, back pedal a 1/4 stroke and repeat
do not keep your ass back unless you are going to lunge a large gap

yeah, timing is key once you want to start doing the crank-hops... it was frustrating to learn, but once you get the timing, you've got it... it'll just kinda come to you all of a sudden. as far as regular rear wheel, i learned first by doing an endo, then rocking back onto my rear wheel. good brakes are key, something you can lock easily.
