Here's what I want...clean and simple:
Start at the triple chair. Take "jump trail" all the way down to "broken tooth"
Period.
That's such a fun run and it's super long. Most everyone knows that trail so people could just rip it...not to mention is a trail that drains water very well, so it would be cool even with rain.
COME ON!!! DO IT!!!!

Jump trail/ ledges/ whatever it's called to broken tooth... That would be awesome, I never got to race that course and I'm sure many others haven't as well. I'm grinning just thinking about it!!!
I'm with SF... DO IT!!!

Well Adrian and I were actually supposed to build the next course. We had some damn good ideas and I think everyone would have been stoked on the course. Adrian was up there checking out some lines we talked about this weekend and pointing them out to Steve (the guy in charge of trail maintence etc.) and basicly Steve has his mind set on other stuff...wouldnt really use any suggestions or ideas Adrian had. So at this point I dunno if its gonna happen. If were building a course....then WE should be able to build it. So the Plattekill gods were not listening....well see what happens, I need to let Laz know whats up.

Well Laz informed me that we will have the green light to do things our way. So it looks like things may be happening. Im not gonna give out any details but our idea is not to make an insane course....but a good flowy, fast course, that will be as hard as you make it, not too hard if you go real slow but gets hard if you want to go fast. Challenging but not suicidal.

SWEET!
Those are the best courses! Courses with 8ft to flat and overcamber uphills suck! I glad that you guys got the ok from Lazlo. Sounds good Fast and Flowy.

Sweet. I hope you guys get to build it how you want. Sounds like a fun course if you ask me.

Any chance you guys will be bringing back some of our old favorites from the other side of the mountain? I'm hoping not to have every race on the north face this year...

You're just afraid that you might find something new that you will like. Relax, there is a ton of land on northface that we haven't even seen yet and you're already talking about the old side. yeah, the old stuff was nice but how about some new stuff for a change?

This is Steve. This is an untrue statement. I am open to all feedback and suggestions. I talked with Adrian last weekend in the parking lot about directions down the hill, but he never showed me anything and we never scoped anything on the mountain together. Basically I have two concerns: safety and erosion. If you want to build a course, build it. Just make sure that it’s something that all categories can rip it up on.
Jon and Adrian – drop me an email so we can clear up this miscommunication. I also need to know if you guys are really going to build this course so I can figure out how much time I need to take off work to go up there.
Anyone interested in trail maintenance or trail building, or any suggestions for future courses, email me at outlawcycles666@aol.com

Yeah...nothing wrong with old stuff. Most new guys probably haven't even rode the old stuff. I love the new trails...but lets face it. Classics are classics. We have a WHOLE mountain at our disposal. Use it all. You could even mark off two seperate courses on the old side...since they're already there. Beginner / Sport guys could go down ledges, then cut in some cool, fast fire road sections, back in for broken tooth. The experts and pros could go down hardcore.
Regardless, it's all fun. I'm not going to get too crazy with suggestions because god knows I'm NOT up there building. Just keep 'em coming!

Nah. Just didn't think about it from that perspective until now. I thought you had ridden all the old stuff already but I guess thats what you get for assuming. Sorry if I offended you. Now that you mention it, it would be kinda fun to ride all the stuff that made plattekill so famous, eh?
