Brennan – Thanks for your concern. As you know, mechanical difficulties always arise, and most are unforeseeable. The game plan is to open the triple and double this race weekend. However, a few things need to be fixed on the triple, primarily the safety switch which got dug up by the bulldozer when we created the biker cross this past week. Digging up dirt on the ski slope is always a tricky thing as many wires are underground (reduces weathering from harsh winters). Those wires include most of the electrical for the triple chair, communications and timing for races, and snowmaking pipes and air hoses.

That said, our operations guy is doing his best to get the triple up and running. Unfortunately, some of this repair stuff is special order and may take several days to reach us (the beauty of living in the Catskills). Our first responsibility is to get the race off (two this week, biker cross and downhill), be sure racers can access it (via the double) and then get things rolling with the triple. Keep your fingers crossed and send whatever “Mountain Repair Elves” you have out to this neck of the woods. Looking forward to seeing you riding and racing this weekend. We are open Friday for riding and the course should be ready for inspection.

Until then...Shut Up And Ride!!!

Talked to Tara around 10am today. They are still trying to get the triple running. The rain is not helping the electrical part of the problem. Also if it does run you will have to carry your bike. So I'll call back and post later today the results. We'll be there if both are working, other wise it looks like west on sat. and whiteface on sunday. I like to race but I love to ride Cheers
