Can you really compare Evan and Connor? Evan has got to be 18+ years old, connor was 13-15? At least Connor had parents that were interested in what he did. Evan just gets dumped up there with no food or anything. I watched him try to start a fire with diesel a few weeks ago. He was trying to light one of those stumps that have been in the parking lot all season. The kid is a loon....

evan is 15. and you do have a point about connor's parents were somewhat interested....but its a question about who is crazier/weirder.

His parents dump him off there?

Do realize this situation is not a joke and His parents are going to be in some trouble. He is a minor and what most have posted is true. His parents have been warned about leaving a minor alone at Plattekill for the weekend and they chose to do it AGAIN this past weekend.

I feel sorry for the kid...........never had a chance and now its is probabally to late.

the sad thing is that no one will do anything because no one really cares. personally i could care less. i basically grew up mountain biking at the mountain from when i was 15. i spent most of my weekends up there with my friend who was over 18 at the time, but i wasnt a pain in the ass to the point where people would make a big deal about it.

Well, the old man's right! The whole situation shows a general sense of neglect: his parents dump him off, he's a little off himself, so people don't know what to make of the kid. He just wants to be a rider just like everyone else. Like I said before, at least he's out riding/trying. But you don't just dump your kid who has issues off in a parking lot and say, See ya after the weekend!". That's F'ed up.

His parents did pick him up Saturday night after the movie and were back there with him on Sunday.

Not defending them or anything but just thought you should know he wasn't left for the entire weekend.

Of course the previous weekends I was there he was camped out for the whole weekend.

i really am starting to feel bad for him though. no body talks to him and i dont think he understands that. could he be a pathalogical liar cause it seems like he doesnt even realize what hes saying. he told me he did a 360 off every drop and rides faster than most of the pros

i dont think he's firing on all cylinders and he's a few short of a six pack...like 5 short.
i dont feel bad for him anymore because even the dumbest person in the world should have realized that people are bashing on him and making fun of him to his face...its just too damn easy to

This kid has some screws loose. I have to admit that my patience grew thin over the weekend. That is where I applaud Shaums, he was very professional and cordial with him the entire weekend. Shaums even tried to talk to his parents to no available..... Sad

Man I started racing when I was about 14 at P-kill and rode up with a bunch of kooks that were 3 times my age who got hammerd and kicked my ass all weekend. This kid sounds like he has it pretty good to me seeing how his parents are somewhat involved with his sport. He does however sound like a nut... I wish I was around to experience these 360/Jr.Pro class antics.... and what ever happend to that crazy red haired kid, its nice to hear hes got a replacement.
