Guys,
I see many points here good and bad, the bottom line is that someone has to do something about it.
I have become used to the "Plattekill" type courses,
they are much different than Norba nationals or world cup events. So I (Tom Orsini) decided to do something, I have volunteered along with Chad from RPM to cut the next course, I talked with Macker at Plattekill and he is ok with it. There will be a little fresh cut and alot of linking of existing trails, I garontee this course will be more "national/world cup ish" than any other Plattekill course. We will have it completed and taped off the weekend before the race for all to check out. Let me know if anyone has any imput.

It's already in the works, the finish line launch.
It will be more like kick you out than kick you up, but it will be sweet.

im not sure if tom chose to make the course anything like what i rode down w him and dave on sunday.
(the planned course im not sure if PK agreed to the finish area)
It was pretty f**king sick and if it is what i went through you will all be very pleased with a whole new style plattekill course
Im not going to be able to make the next plattekill but if its what i rode it should be a pretty injury free fun for all style weekend (probobly not injury free... but fun)

Hey, will you be designing the sport course as well for the August race? It would be cool to get back to some of last year's designs where a lot of both courses shared a lot of the same trail along with seperate breakoffs for pro/expert and for sport.

Jim, I think the goal with the same courses is to get riders to move up to ride the good stuff. There are too many career beg/sports at platty and to be honest with You both beg\sport courses this Year have been fun !

Tell me about it: I did beginner last year and this is going to be my 1st and only year in sport. I planned to move up regardless of my finishes, but most of the dudes I race with seem to be going for the 5 year plan in sport class, if you know what I mean!

That's the way I did it and My opinion is that's the way it should be done, progression is what makes it fun. If I ever get to win a few races at expert level (which I doubt, but won't stop trying) I'll apply pro just for the hell of it
