In that vein: all three of my $10 seatposts do excellent jobs of holding my seats to my bikes.

But just think of how much LIGHTER your bike is because you're using a Thomson seatpost. Especially since you cut so much off of it!

I think we're flogging a dead goat here... er dead horse or whatever.

My seatpost cost $5 because they found it on the floor in the back of the shop.

It also holds my seat quite well.

Have a look at the Roox Torque bar. They're very strong.

On their website (www.roox.at), they say they'll present the 2003 product line on September 10th...i.e.: tomorrow

I think I'll either pick up the Profile or the DMR, I can get the DMR here so I'll check that out this week.

I'll probably cut my bars to 24", im grabbing my bars at that width now and I'd like to grab a little closer.

Don, that would be cool if you could post up some photos of your setup. thanks.

Dude, flogging goats is just wrong. Leave your g/f out of this. Laughing Anyways, my $10 seatposts don't work so hot, but i can live with it. Just don't get Big Cheese bars. Unless you want to take a big fall. They are straight up scary.

Yeah, I cut them down quite a bit - I think they come at 26" wide.

The rise is 2.5" and about 24" wide - BMX width.

I might get another pair only cut them at 25" wide.

Not to much of a back sweep. They are pulled back bmx trails style - running parallel to the fork rake. For riding trails or park they feel right on.

I can't ride with the bars straight up/down or chicago style. Smile

ya, I have an extra atomic stem dinsy Shocked ahaaaa!!
Those thompson ones are damn ugly. Your bmx stem is 1" so have a machine shop bore it out to 1 1/8' so then you can use protapers or eastons or any non breaking/bending bar. Thats what I did when I had a DK jumping stem...you should have enough material on there to do it, but the shop will tell you
