Hey all just wanted to give you an update on some serious work we have been doing at Plattekill. We are building a wide Mountain Cross course in the woods starting up at midstation and hauling through the woods until the bottom. We have some sick stuff in here and the course is going to be loads of fun. If anyone wants to help pack the course down that would be a huge help. All I got to say is Macker is one sick a$$ dozer driver. I have vids of him plowing down the same steeps we ride!
Here is some eye candy of construction so far:
More pics of the progress to come soon.

OK now, remember the MX is for hardtails and short travel bikes - none of you cheaters on DH bikes.... Including that road gap!

Ya I was up there today and saw what they had going thus far....def looking like a sick 4x/Freeride course. This one is looking to be good for DH or 4x bikes. The biggest plus is that it will be permanent....since it is in the woods, no need to plow for winter.

me and a friend will be up friday at around 3:45 and sat around the same time to work on the course. we are digging a tunnel to go under the first table top, so we dont loose a fun section of trail.

Work continued Saturday and Sunday to really dial in the start section of the course. There is still a ton to be done because we are making sure each section is done right but progress is being made. We plan to have a nice big table top up by the start with a tunnel going underneath it so that the existing trail that runs across the course can remain open at all times. It is really tempting to leave it as a huge double but to have it be rideable by all levels we are going to roof off the tunnel to make the top of the table top. Anyway it is going to be really cool to be able to have riders running under the course while riders are racing above it.
Here is some more pics:
(Please give me some feedback about picture size. I have been posting large pics. Is that slowing things down to much for too many people or should I keep the big pics coming?)
