Crazy talk. The freeride trail is super fun. That is of course if you like drops. I see a whole lot of guys looking at the drops and few hitting them. The only one that I feel could be improved upon is The Scottsman. You really need to launch it to smooth out the landing. Forget about the lower section "Crazy Horse". That part is a bit silly and Tom knows it. He's going to do something totally different. But Red Headed Slut into the two lower ladders, to rock drop is a classic. Smooth as hell.

Most times when someone says something sucks they really mean they can't ride it. It's steep, technical, and drop covered. I'm not saying you can't ride it because I've seen you ride and know you can, but clearly that side of the mountain doesn't suck.

Some of the drops are real smooth, but the ones on the 2nd half of the trail are all flat landings and sketchy builds. overall the trail is pretty fun, i remember it being a lot more fun last season but maybe no one worked on it yet.. and btw i hit everything on the trail

Totally agree. The 2nd part like I said, "Crazy Horse" section which is basically two ladder drops totally suck. Tom is talking about pulling them down. Finding the other drop (red headed slut) can be a bit tricky. You have to follow the florescent yellow flares after the ladder bridge with wooden transition. It's definitely my favorite drop on the mountain. About 6 - 8 feet with a big clean transition.

I agree the drops are nice(the few that are planned out well). But drops are not for the races. Both sides of the Mtn are sweet, most courses kick ass. If anyone builds any of those courses where I have to pedal my ass off on flat just to go 5-10mph I will bitch.
Good pedal sections are like the may course, where you are already hauling ass but you can go even faster if you pedal and even better brake late! Very Happy
yes!

maybe i am the only one here trailriding by dh bike, but i like to pedal. it separates the fit/crazy people from just the crazy people. some freshly cut trails on the double chair side for the race would be sweet.

the only thing about changing mtns is that they have to transport the starting gate to the other side of the mtn. the best way to solve this problem is to build a new ramp for the Northface. or, the second half of the season will probably be on the Northface. Just like they did last year, but things were vice versa.

Why do they NEED the starting gate? It's not like it really gives you a bunch of speed anyway. They could just have a chaulk outlined starting area so people would have the same amount of space to start.

Anyone who says Paul wasnt being made fun of is full of sh!t. He directly told me after the race that the jr x riders for a company/ team(not tellin which one) were making fun of him. He said they were making fun of "the thing in his spokes." You can ask him next race if you dont believe me.

Thats the truth, and what the heck is the deal with all the people who look so damn miserable on race weekend? Aren't we all here to have fun? Hell if I wasn't having fun at the mountain you wouldn't see me there, thats why I'm smiling......well most of the reason I'm smiling Wink

First of all, who's this Paul dude and WHY was he being made fun of? People get teased, it's just the way this twisted world works. My advice would be to kick some ass or get over it.

Second, anyone who takes themself too seriously is a jackass and shouldn't be considered.

Third, anyone who steals should be given a South Philly jaw breaker.
