Dumb ass,
I am sure Chris has 5wt and 10wt finishline oil. Or he can order some other kind from Junk& Bargins and have it in 1 day.

That shit box Moto store on transit in ghetto Niagara Co. doesn't sell oil?
Just get oil that DOES NOT have seal sweller.

I've already got 5 and 10 wt oil and the place near me has more of the same. Just curious why specifically 7wt and if there was anything special about the Fox stuff. I am going to work on it tonight.

You really want me to do the same at your house?

Torco shock oil is the best. Wonderful stuff. I order it directly of their website.

Also here is a handy dandy site for everything Fox

theres nothing special about their oil really. they probably use 7wt because of the feel it gives the fork. if you obviously mess around with the oil, it could make it more or less progressive. if you add two different types of oil, you can possibly get a better feeling to the fork while making it a tad more progressive.

40's have two separate oil functions. The oil in the legs is just used for lubrication of the bushings, so they specify 7wt oil for smooth operation.

The other oil is contained in the cartridge and due to the low volume, thicker oils don't work as well.

Yeah, I'm just changing the oil bath, not the cartridge. I am just going to wing it with a mixture of 5 and 10wt just to duplicate things.
