That's a great video site- Vimeo. How did you find out about it b/c I can't find that HD quality web server anywhere.

Do you like it?? Any tips on file saving, rendering and uploading. Your vids look great.

Vimeo is awesome, been around for along time... you can upload any HD movie up there and check this out, FOR NOW, you get 500MB of file space a WEEK....

i record using 720P edit & save using the DivX Codec. Usually a 5 minute files using the DivX codec comes out to 150MB....

create an account and start uploading!

Check out my video:

I don't understand the 720p, I shoot in 1080i, but sometimes I render in 1280x960. Should I edit my final for VImeo in 1280x720 and render as a WMV, MPG or something else??

I have a copy of DIVX, but I don't render in it. Any quick tips??

Any advice would be great. Thanks.

Nat

Yes when rendering for Vimeo either use the H264 Codec, which is basically MPEG4, you can do it Quicktime .MOV, actually check out this page:

http://www.vimeo.com/help/hd

when i get home today i will post my settings for DivX for matfor you, as i don't know it off the top of my head right now.

Vimeo Supports all Formats and all diffrent sizes, the thing is if you want it to show on HD on Vimeo it has to be either 1080I or 720P, doesn't matter which HD format it is, as long as their edited on HD, you'll be okay!

EDIT:

some of my videos are OK, but check out this video (it's using the same exact camera as i have, but it was nice and bright out) i'm still learning and trying to figure out which format comes out the best.

I don't use quicktime (i use Vegas) , is that H264 code part of QT or something else? Basically, where can I find it and implement it?

Do you deinterlace your video before uploading??
