The issue is that it feels like one of the pawls does not engage until a certain amount of torque is applied. I have tried everything else and narrowed it doewn to the hub. Checked the BB, chainline, chainwheel, chain,etc. Everything is brand new including new Riot frame, new shadow conspiracy 1/2 link 1/8" chain, Mosh 12t 1/8" cog and Tree splined 22t chainring. It is not the chainline or a meshing issue. Took the hub apart and only thing I can determine is one of the pawls does not open up as fast as others. May need a new spring. I did order a Nashbar hub, which is made by Novatech and is the same thing, to see if it is the driver/body fit. If not I will rebuild the wheel with the new hub.. Just checking to see if anyone else had similar issues and what they did.

ParkNRiot Toy   Joined: Dec 26, 2007 Posts: 9 Figured it out. The driver and/or pawls and/or spring was defective. Bought a Nashbar SS hub (identical to Woodman) for $35 and swapped out drivers. It sounds completely different. Went from a silent hub to sounding like a Ringle. No more clicks... It only took replacing everything else before trying that.. At least I have the final gear working...
