Oh boy, it's that time again. On Sunday Nov. 4th, the Dirt Jumping and XC world will converge upon Rancho Relaxo (A.K.A. Ted's Backyard)in Downingtown, PA for the Ruckus at the Ranch. Ted has cooked up a lot of new cool lines this summer, and is ready to treat you to a trick or two! The place is really rocking with a new 5' tall 180 berm, a roller line, etc. etc. -- several new lines and surprises to choose from, and the place is pimp!
There will be pumping music, pumping riders and pumping keg taps all day. Great food, too. There will also be an XC ride in the AM, followed by the BBQ. Remember, some of the DJ lines are also XC bike friendly, so bring flat pedals and an allen wrench for your XC rig. More details to follow.
Also, Ted is still as of yet to settle on the name of the Jam. Your vote counts:
1) Ted's Ruckus at the Ranch
2) Ted's Pumpkin Disorderly Jump Jam
3) Ted's Jump Your Jalopy Jam
This is shaping up to be quite a big event once again! Here is a link for more info:
Please bring a donation, whether money, food or drink. It will be a hell of a jam!

What a day! All the work leading to these parties, the late night digging with flash lights, trying to plan the food and beer so there is enough for everybody but not too much for a fridge full of leftovers and all the stuff I forget makes me wonder why I do it sometimes. But then when I see how much fun everyone has I remember why. I guess I was allways the class clown trying to entertain everyone and now this is my way of providing entertainment.
When my friend Randy saw Nat ripping the zip line he said "Oh sh!t when will the clown and ponies show up?" Maybe next year we will have Jack Ass rides!
As allways there was plenty of stellar riding to keep you pumped.
The Highlights:
The trains with big bikes, little bikes and squishey bikes was awsome!
John G and Dave riding lines on xc bikes waiting for the ride to leave, coming back jumping on dj bikes till dark.
John G and Nat's mid air collision
Travis last year on a 20 to come back on 26 this year to kill it once again.
Big Bob B. 90 mph one footed manual over 2 or 3 jumps into the 180 berm and boosting the line coming out.
The high jump contest, if you went by bb height it was a tie between Travis, Big Bob and (I am brain farting on the 20" guys name, I will edit this when it comes to me) But we were going by rear tire and some how 20" guy had his up by his ear!
Food
Thats all I can think of for now but I am sure I am missing something
Thnks Nat, I hope you got some good stuff for your hard work

Hey Ted, Thanks again! I was the one on the Brown IH Sunday that can't jump for shit, but it was a blast! So what's the deal? Do you think you might do it again or what? I hope so! At first I thought I wasn't going to get into it cause of all the top notch jumpers. But once I got into it I realized everyone's cool with beginners too.
Watching John Gabor hit that one double and manual off of it was amazing!

Thanks Ted, you're party rules and the crowd is like a big east coast family. Nice how you mix up the XC guys, DH and dirt jumpers in one place. Very cool to chat and eat with everyone.
Thanks to all those that let me shoot them. I will try to post a few teaser shots and then throw together a nice vid later. All stuff will be posted on spinteck.com, but I always post notice of my new material on this site first.
Bigger thanks to the guys that helped pull me back up to the zip-start-stree:)

Finished the short vid with interviews with, well, you'll see. I think I milked every ounce of footage I took that day. This was a some work, so any comments/criticism are welcome. Enjoy.
I will be posting a high def version of the riding part shortly.
