Was up there this past weekend and if your talking about the new drop with the 15" bridge built to a boulder than there is not much cut past it... what we looked at hadn't been rode in yet either. It has the makings of a fine trail though.

I dig it! The rock drop RULER is talking about is pretty nice. It's about 10 - 12 ft (if you launch it). The landing has an adequet transition...could be better, but it's been totally cleared out by some heavy machinery, or so it looks. When you look up the trail at the drop it looks HUGE...but standing on top, it's totally doable for a advanced sport type rider. I hit it twice without incident.
Still trying to get the scoop on the triple chair for the weekend.

Both lifts operate everyday we're open. The freeride course is coming along real sweet. We've trucked in a lot of dirt to make a smooth rolling turny section down a steep wooded area, but Tom needs some volunteers to help move it. Its too steep to get a bucket loader or bobcat in there. Any takers, free lift tickets to all those who help. We're trying to get this thing done for a late season Freeride comp this season.

Hit it twice aswell, slower was better than faster....if it get's done this year how do you plan on judging it? How many stunts will there be in total? I'm all about a freeride comp.

We are definitely open to suggestions but what we had in mind is 5-6 judged sections as well as overall time. It would all be totaled together in a points format, and the elapsed time would be issued a points amount as well.

hmmm, i dunno about timmed. i mean it shouldnt take you long, but you shouldnt have to mach down it. they should just set up time intervals and take off more points for the higher up in the intervals you are. for example, take off 1 point (just an example, i dunno how many pts the stunts would be worth) for 3:30, then take off 2 for 3:45 , 3 for 4 min and so on.

Thats right. And in fact the elapsed time is not going to be the major factor. Its going to be the quality of the stunts and drops. In fact some of the stunts in this course ride better slower rather than with speed.
Thanks for the comments. Keep 'em comin'.
