i have gotten hold of an angle grinder for myself to use, and it has everything with it. so what i am asking is any special techniques?

how do i do it?
what disc should i use? (grinding or cutting)

any other help would be much appreciated, im sick of using tar... so i think it is time to plunge into the world of decent brakes...

thanks in advance guys!

Use a hacksaw, it is the best way to grind. Takes a real long time and hurts your arm. The grind will last a season for sure. If you grind do not use the new pads out there, they suck. Coffee/milk pads are great for ground rims. Call up Timmy and tell him you want those pads, he knows what they are.

i think i might try it with a dremel not an angle grinder first, just so it isnt as fast and is less likely to eat my rim!!!
