There will be different classes. but all one course.I think the course should not be to hard, because you will have to do it all day.Something that is so much fun that you will want to ride it all day.

Some of my friends did the 12-hour Big Bear race last year and look forward to doing it again. Will DangergirlDH have a team? - you'll have to ask Kristina. I'm not associated with the company, I just appropriated the name for my screen name (DangergirlDH is one of the best company names I've heard in a long time) and then added the 1TX.
How to get course marshalls out there? Incentives. How about this (just a suggestion): for every course marshall a team or individual brings to the race, an entrance fee will be refunded, up to two entrance fees per team. The course marshall will have a voucher that will be stamped at arrival and again at the end of the day. A 12-hour work day = a T-shirt + entry fee (you'll need to feed and water these people too). I suggest you find a volunteer coordinator who is good at details, preferably someone who has volunteered for a 12-hour or 24-hour adventure race or something and has seen it from the volunteer's perspective. This person will be in charge of your marshalls, allowing you to focus on the rest of the race details. Best of luck!

This sounds awesome. If July, please NOT the 24 25 cuz I am teaching an advanced rider course and a dirtbike school for the motorcycle safety foundation then. ok 'nuff whining I REALLY like dangergirl's idea about teams bringing volunteers. Sounds good. The only thing I see as a problem and it would probably be self governing, is lift line budging. But between spectators and racers, I am sure violators would be properly pummeled!

Sorry Dangergirl for the identity mistake! I saw Dangergirl on a Plattekill forum, put 2 and 2 together, well you know the rest. I thought you might have been Kristina or someone who rides with her.Anyway I like your ideas.I think the course marshall idea will work, got work on Laz with the feed and water thing. He should always do that for the marshalls.I would love to talk to your friends that did the Big Bear race.As far as the volunteer coordinator goes, will have to hunt for the appropriate person.Interested?[ HINT].LOL.I found out about the scoring company that does these type of events. The same one that does the 24 hours of Allamuchy and a lot of triathalons.Real limited with dates, there really busy this season. The big problem with useing them is the price. Not knowing what the turn out will be for this event, Laz may lose money.Dont want to say what it costs, but it is a lot.We may not be able to go fully electronic this time. Maybe next time.Have to figure a more primitive way of doing it.Would have been nice. With a chip on a bracelet you scane it every lap. you would be able to see your time for every lap. And if there is a tie of laps in the same class you have to time the last lap. This last detail I am working on a way to do this with out the scoring company.Have anymore ideas let me know, love to brainstorm with ya. going to laz the weekend before the cleanup weekend, see what ideas he comes up with.Have to find out if I or someone else is cutting this course. Running out of time!First race in a few weeks!

Hey to BLACKDIAMONDRACINGPAUL from the rider formerly known as dangergirl1tx... Two things: 1) I've changed my sn from dangergirl1tx to sunny; didn't consider the confusion that might arise using dangergirl in an East Coast forum (though it's just soooo appropriate). 2) I'll contact Team Big Bear for you, find out some details about how they run their 12-hr race, and contact you via pm asap. Till soon, --sunny in SoCal
