To be fair, I talked to that photographer for awhile while waiting/hoping hcor team riders would come down the trail. He's a good guy and admitted that the photos weren't going to be spectacular, but he's been doing it for awhile and it's all about the $$.
He said, and it makes sense, that he makes more money on sales from pics of areas like that for the simple fact that everyone had to hit that little jump and not everyone would ride the drops. Plus, he was using a simple little digital camera and there was more light in that area (not that there was much). The weather really blew for photos.
Event stuff like that, like when you go river rafting and at the end of the river they have a pic of everyone who went down that you can buy, normally suck. But hey, did you bring a personal photographer to the event? No. You got a pic of you riding though.

i was riding behind my friend and they got him but missed me in practice. and in my race he missed me too. I saw the flash both times though.

same happened to me and i aired out the jump just trying to have fun cuz i really couldnt take that course seriously and actually race all out but i still got 4th so im happy.
