I was extremely pissed off at Plattekill for only running one chair lift for race weekend, and not even having the old lift open to carry on bikes only. How is it that Lazlo hasnt had time to acquire more hooks for bikes to be loaded onto the chairlift. We had a great race course, but unless you wanted to hike a bike to the other lift side, you had to basically settle for riding one trail all weekend. Whats your opinion on this? Who else is aggrevated like I am. Bixer X guys missed be even more pissed, that were in June now and there is still nothing for them to ride.

I wasnt really that pissed, beacuse a lot of the really cool trails were perfectly accessible via the long haul ass fire road to the right after you get off the north face lift. I think however that it's retarted that Lazlo keeps feeding us bullshit... just tell us the truth and no one will get mad... when he lies, we have people tht get angry.....
frankly as long as there is trails, a lift, and people to ride with... Im fine

getting to the other side of the mountain was the best part of the weekend
for me the fire road was great, west coast style at plattakill fast as all hell
then drops out from under you. I kept hearing how bad the hike was,
there were 2 small hills and you were at the other lift, took a total of 10
mins. for me to walk from the watershed at top to the other lift. I do agree
that I wish the other lift was open cause that side of the mountain was
almost dry. Saturday they had enough people to run both lifts but one
of the lift guys said that there wasn't enough people riding to warrant
opening the other lift, just what the lift guy said though !

I thought it was a matter of not having enough bike hooks...I heard the hooks were taken off the triple in order to run the northface...I never actually got around to looking if the triple actually had hooks on it though.

Tripple was robbed of its hooks to run the double...Would have been nice to run the tripple on Sat. just to cut down on the lines...Have it as a carry up only if you have to..
The email before pissed me off a bit, and as said before, just give us the straight poop, and people will still come because it is Plattekill.
The fireroad rocked...Almost lost myself a couple of times on it...Fast and drops out from under you.
Till next time...

haha! yeah! Adrian and I hit that few times, its sooo sweet! you can get to like mach 5 and the ground just drops from underneath you. the first little drop is like 50 yards into the fireroad, total awsomeness! there are small little little humps that you can do like mini gaps on, its great. really fast and pretty steep. I hope somone uses that section for a race course.
the hike over to the other side wasn't too bad. only if you're out of shape like me. adrian and I hiked over and it was well worth it. we did fun run/ledges with a few new guys. really weird to have just about nobody on that side. I WAS pissed that laz didn't open the triple up, also was kinda pissed at the lift guys for being so slow. I KNOW its possible to load more bikes in less time rather than sit around and bullshit. The guys at the top seemed to have everything under control pretty well.

yeah big boy at the top is the man , always try to throw him a Nick
or dime to keep him coming back to work! 2 of him and we'd get a
alot less wasted time and more runs.

click up a few gears and pedal your ass off !!
